Welcome to EchoTime

Timothy Jordan

EchoTime is a task manager built for people who think faster than they can type. You capture an idea in a sentence, and the app does the filing for you — pulls out the action, sets the priority, drops it in the right collection.

This blog is for the people who care how it works. We’ll write about the engineering decisions behind a real-time dashboard that feels like a native app: optimistic mutations, live Firestore subscriptions, view transitions, and the trade-offs we hit along the way.

What’s coming

  • Why we moved off Next.js and what we replaced it with
  • How the AI extraction pipeline actually parses your input
  • The native-feel toolbox: optimistic mutations, auto-animate, View Transitions API
  • The data model behind nested collections and shared lists

If any of this is useful to you, drop us a line.
